Last Friday I came down to the Keys with my amazing friend Katie for her bachelorette party. Eight of Katie's amazing friends (including me) came down here with her to celebrate with her. We had such a great time. Saturday morning I went for a run with Ashley. Afterwards all of us hung out at the pool, enjoying the sun. The house down here is beautiful, right by the canal with its own dock and a pool.
After relaxing at the pool, we got ready to go to Key West. Katie and some of the bridesmaids had made special skirts for all of us to wear. We had so much fun with the skirts and it fits perfectly for Katie's bachelorette party!
In Key West we had dinner at this amazing Cuban restaurant called El Siboney. The food is just amazing! Next time you are in the Keys, try it!
After dinner, we went to Mallory Square to enjoy the sunset show and the crazy catman. Katie and her sister Kristie come down here every year and watch his show. And it is worth watching! Here is the a picture of us with Dominique the catman.

I am so happy to have Katie as my friend. I met her through my husband Josh. She is one of his best friends and I'm so glad to be able to call her my friend, too! She came to our wedding last fall in Germany and it meant so much to both of us!
Life is so much better with friends and I'm so glad and thankful for all of my friends, in Germany and here. All of you are such a blessing and enrich my life. I am thankful for all of you!
The move would have been a lot harder for me if I would have no friends here.
I will post more about my vacation in the Keys. The weekend turned into a week long vacation. I will be back in Jacksonville on Friday.
Letzten Freitag bin ich mit Katie und sieben anderen Mädels Richtung Süden gefahren.
Katie heiratet am 22. Juni und wir haben ihr Junggesellinnenabschied mit einem Wochenende in den Florida Keys gefeiert. Die Keys sind lauter kleine Inseln an der südlichen Spitze von Florida. Unser Haus, dass wir für das Wochenende gemietet haben, ist auf Key Marathon, ca. eine Stunde vor Key West, der letzten und südlichsten Insel.
Nachdem ich am Samstag morgen joggen war, haben wir den restlichen Vormittag am Pool verbracht und die Sonne genossen.
Nachmittags sind wir dann mit unseren verrückten bunten Röcken nach Key West gefahren. Dort haben wir in einem tollen kubanischen Restaurant, El Siboney, zu Abend gegessen. Ich hatte richtig leckeren gegrillten Fisch.
Nach dem Abendessen sind wir zum Mallory Square gegangen um dort den Sonnenuntergang anzuschauen. Jeden Abend feiern dort alle zusammen den Sonnenuntergang, Strassenkünstler machen ihre Shows und man hört überall Musik. Wir haben uns die Show von dem berühmten verrückten Katzenmann angeschaut. Das war wirklich crazy! Zum Abschluss sind wir in ein paar verschieden Bars gegangen und haben gefeiert. Wir hatten einen total lustigen und amüsanten Abend.
Ich bin so froh, dass ich hier in Florida schon Freunde habe. Katie und Josh haben vor einigen Jahren zusammen gearbeitet und sind richtig gute Freunde geworden. Wir haben uns auch schnell angefreundet und sind inzwischen richtig gute Freunde geworden. Sie war auch auf unserer Hochzeit in Deutschland und das hat uns wirklich viel bedeutet.
Ein Leben ohne Freunde kann ich mir nicht vorstellen. Ich bin echt dankbar für alle meine Freunde. Jeder einzelne von euch bereichert mein Leben und ich bin so froh, euch zu haben.
Es hat mein Umzug in ein anderes Land auch leichter gemacht, da ich wusste, dass ich hier schon Freunde habe.
Ich werde bald noch mehr über mein Urlaub in den Keys posten, da aus dem Wochenende eine Woche geworden ist und ich noch bis Freitag hier bin.
